4th Transmission, again with the questions... [Video]

Good morning, anyone who may be listening in at this hour. I have a few questions, for anyone who may or may not be so inclined to answer them.

Firstly, does anyone remember anything that happened last weekend at all? I have spent the last few days meditating, and it seems worrisome that several days have just blanked out of my mind. I feel as though something important happened, but I can't remember.

Secondly, does anyone around here know anything about acquiring power supplies for machinery? I've broached the topic with a few others, but I would like to ask everyone as a whole. I'm attempting to reconstruct some of the technology from my world and would need a few small odds and ends to do so.

Finally, I'm told by some people in the village that there is a series of popular movies...that apparently are about me and the other members of the Rebel Alliance. I...find myself curious, and would very much like to see these for myself. I will admit the thought unnerves me a little, but I'd like to know if anyone has a copy they would be willing to share.

However, don't make the mistake of being sympathetic to the Third Party, either. They will definitely kill you with the opportunity.

I had not intended to give them the opportunity, but if it is the will of the Force then that is the way of things. I am not going to slaughter them wholesale, either, though it seems our gaolers may like me to. Either way, something about the conflict between the two feels problematic. Almost like the Malnosso are invaders, and not the other way around.

And its nice to meet you, Ms. Mizuno.

More precisely, the Third Party disapprove of what's being done here. This may relate to the way it damages our worlds for us to be here. However, their solution is indeed to take our lives.

Which is equally as barbaric. I dislike being used as a pawn. Has there never been peaceful contact with the Third Party?

That word should be used carefully. However, in these years, there has been no peaceful contact.

That is disheartening. I mislike needless violence, but if it must be done then it must.

Have you been out on many of these missions?

I may not seem like the type, but I've fought the Third Party twice, and I was a member of the infiltration team awhile back.

I've learned to never judge a fighter by their appearance. I probably don't seem much the type either.

[That does, mildly, surprise her.]

Are you a soldier? A warrior?

I'm a Jedi. A guardian of peace.

That can be one and the same. It's said 'no one loves peace like a soldier'.

[And besides that, that had been her own mission as a soldier, along with her comrades: fight to protect their world, and bring peace.]

And you, are you a soldier, or a warrior? A Jedi is more akin to a warrior monk.

I'm a doctor. [And so she neatly sidesteps both and her secret.]

Even better. The healing arts are not common among the Jedi, though some can heal the body and mind as well.

I do my best, and I always continue studying. If you need me, please don't hesitate to come to the clinic. I've learned some healing magic from Nala as well.

I should be alright. The Force binds my wounds without much trouble usually, but should I require more aid, I'll certainly come.

It's... a healing force as well? [There's a bit of blankness to her voice from the surprise, but she's very, very interested now.]

The Force is something that resides in all things, with two sides. The Light Side and the Dark Side. It's an intangible field of energy that binds the universe together. Jedi learn to manipulate it, and healing is one of the things that it is able to do.

[Death and Life, both inside the crystal powered by the princess' heart. She'd seen it wither everything near it, and she'd seen it heal her own wounds.]

I think I understand.

That's good. Is there a similar concept in your world?

It is also worth noting that tapping into either side all but excludes you from using the other side. The Dark Side can heal, but it will taint the healing, and the Light Side cannot be used to directly harm living things directly. As a Jedi, I tap into the Light, which is used mainly to augment my own powers, heal, and defend.

[She avoids it, just slightly.] A concept of balance between good and evil. It's a common idea in many philosophies.

True enough. What drove you to be a doctor? You seem young for the profession. [Admittedly, droids handle most medicine in his galaxy but...]

[She is young; the youngest in her world, according to rumor there. She's proud of that accomplishment, but modesty compels her to simply focus on her reasons.]

My mother is also a doctor. I wanted to follow in her footsteps. And, along the way, I learned I also want to be able to heal people for my own sake and theirs.

Family. A good reason for most things. [Be glad he didn't follow in HIS father's footsteps...]

I admire that. Becoming a healer takes a dedication most haven't got. Even among the Jedi, with the Force to guide them, so few take up that calling. It is a difficult path to tread indeed.

It required a lot of hard work and studying along the way. And even being able to commune with Nala here took a lot of patience to seek her out.

But, while I can do these things, I can be useful and helpful to everyone.
